Steve holds a Masters of Divinity and a Masters of (Clinical) Social Work. He lay-pastored a Young Marrieds’ Group for 7 years, then worked as a Christian missionary for 16 years, pioneering two works: in the inner city of San Francisco as an outreach to impoverished, Central American refugees; the other in the remote parts of Eastern Oregon to cowboys and ranchers. Following his ministries, Steve worked as a Psychotherapist for 19 years, holding a license in Clinical Social Work. Steve also functioned as a Social Worker and Chaplain for Hospice for 7.5 years.

Experiences in ministry, psychotherapy, and hospice motivated Steve to integrate his understanding of spirituality, religion, and his professional training with the study of Shamanism. How are people healed who are deeply, traumatically wounded on a soul/spirit basis? How do people grow and enhance a connection with Creator, Spirit, and their spirit? How are people physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively healed by working with the Great (Holy) Spirt, helping spirits, and their spirit in the physical/spirit realms? These questions provoke Steve’s thinking as he Jeeps, mountain bikes, fishes, hikes, and skis in his local area.
